St. John's Wort Tincture- Balancing Brain Chemicals

WHAT IS A TINCTURE? An herbal tincture is a long-lasting and effective form of extracting the whole plant's medicinal properties. The formula combines alcohol, distilled water, and sometimes vegetable glycerin. The result is potent and sometimes fast-acting. By adding the recommended drops of tincture to a liquid, diluting removes the weak or absent taste of alcohol.

St. John's Wort is an ideal herb to balance serotonin and nor-adrenaline levels, often used for depression, menopausal symptoms, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), somatic symptom disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other conditions.  It may take up to four weeks to exert an effect.

Each bottle contains two-ounces of St. John's Wort extraction, and features a dropper for ease of use.

DIRECTIONS:  Most tinctures are infused between four to six weeks; however, I continue to increase potency, bottling at eight weeks; therefore, it is important to abide by the dosage.   One dropper is 30 drops; the maximum is two droppers, 60 drops.  Consume by placing the liquid underneath the tongue for 30 seconds or add to a half-cup of water and drink

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Safe to use for up to 12 weeks. It may reduce the effectiveness when using the following medications- warfarin, digoxin, and theophylline.
